Ghost Writer. Sigur nu cel mai bun film al lui Polansky, poveste prea puţin interesantă, în fond, şi final previzibil. Dar e un film perfect realizat, insinuant şi puternic, cu o foarte bună coloană sonoră a lui Alexandre Desplat. Între noi fie vorba, pare mai mult despre Polansky însuşi, decît despre Tony Blair.

Culoarea filmului:

Gri-bejul obişnuit al lui Polansky, cald şi neliniştitor deopotrivă.

Robert Rycart: They can’t drown two ghost writers. You’re not kittens!

The Ghost: Didn't you want to be a real politician?
Ruth Lang: Didn't you want to be a real writer?

Sunetele care-ţi rămîn în minte:

“Q: Can you talk about the sort of meta-movie aspect of this, which is that this guy obviously understands storytelling convention well enough to mimic it, but he sort of succumbs to or becomes complicit in these mystery tropes, such as falling for the femme fatale or following these clues even though he seems to know what they mean when he’s investigating them?
McGregor: I don’t know what your question is, sorry. I liked what you said (laughs).”
